Why is there no Request button on the book I want?

There are a few reasons this happens. One: it is a not a book we own. Two: the book is checked out (the Status will say Checked Out) or on Reserve for a class on campus. Three: the book is in our Reference Collection or Special Collections and cannot leave the building.
